Project Details
Inner Sydney High School is a new high school for 1200 students, developed by the Dept. of Education.
The Landscape design includes 3 internal courtyards providing a shared space that connects heritage school buildings with the new future focused high-rise school.
The landscape includes The Courtyard - bench seating under the canopy of deciduous trees providing a space for students to meet & chat, and The Amphitheatre - a multifunctional space providing a stage for lunchtime gathering, a central performance space and school assembly area.
Challenges include flood mitigation, construction around significant and heritage trees, management of the park user interface and Consultation with Council / approval of proposed public domain design to Prince Alfred Park.
